Late period: Could I be pregnant?
Taking a urine pregnancy test is a good first step towards finding an answer.
- We offer no-cost pregnancy tests and are open Monday through Friday.
- Pregnancy tests are also available in pharmacies and grocery stores and shouldn’t cost more than ten dollars.
- If you don’t want to do it yourself, give us a call.
- We keep everything confidential.
Can a late period be something other than pregnancy?
Yes. Periods can be delayed for many everyday reasons, such as:

Starting a new or intense exercise routine
Other reasons for irregular periods include:
- PCOS or thyroid issues
- Some medications
- Irregular periods are common during the teen years and in the years leading up to menopause.
If your periods are often late, it’s a good idea to talk with your doctor. If you don’t have a medical provider or insurance, we can provide referrals to local clinics. All of our services are free of charge.
