For the guys

We’re here for both of you.

Once she's missed a period, everything can change – fast. What happens next may be her decision, but most women really care where their guy is coming from. How you respond to the situation is up to you.

Your involvement matters

We hear a lot of guys tell their partner they will “support her no matter what”. While that might seem like the best thing you can do, that some times communicates the opposite – that this pregnancy is all her responsibility and her “problem” to figure out. Instead, offer to go with your partner to the pregnancy test and/or ultrasound and educate yourself on all of your options as a dad.

The two of you have many decisions to make. The more you can make them together, the better. Regardless of the decision you and your partner make for the pregnancy, the choice will impact you. Here at the center, we have experienced men who are available to talk with you about any questions or concerns you may have about this pregnancy or being a dad.
